The two races of the lands are still in heated battle. Skirmishes often happen at the two races' borders, and there are still bloody death matches at the disputed lands. This is no time to show weakness. Season ; Autumn
General Forecast ; Leaves litter the ground, painting the landscape into beautiful browns, yellows, and oranges. There is a crunch underpaw with every step. Prey has been diminishing, so it may be harder to find something to eat.
Here, you will find the rules and regulations of Tribal Screams. It would be in your best intentions to read them, and be aware that they may be updated every now and again.
You step lightly, even uneasy, as you think of what to purchase with your coins. You pad toward a line of cats. They have skins of beasts splayed out under their paws. Some scuffle about their wears, pawing at their items and counting each one. Some sit, ready and waiting, for a cat to step toward their stations. Curious, you step toward them, ready to search for something nice to buy.
What a fine, sunny day. The rapids are crystal clear, and the grass's green glow seems to illuminate everything in its path. The jingle of coins makes you grin, for you know that you will be buying something new. You come to your destination, but, alas, there are no merchants. Looking to your left, and then your right, you see nothing. Suddenly, a small rock falls onto your head. With a whimper, you jump back, looking at the rock, then looking up. Merchants line the small caves and crevices along the rocky wall; a small waterfall crashes behind the rock face they sit among, making a mist seep through the small, connected caves. Leaping onto a part of the slippery rock, you begin to step into the caves, full of anticipation.
You scrolls down the page, reading all of the boards. Stopping at the Merchant category, you look on to see what items you could spend coins on. Looking past the two Merchants to use for characters, you stop to see that there is a Merchant for the site. Fueled by curiousity, and slightly tickled by reading your own actions, you click the board to look inside.
This is where you will go to create your characters. Be it cat or wolf, everyone should have a character, because, without one, you wouldn't really have much to do! So please look at out template and create a character and enter Tribal Screams. Because we wish to verify your characters on Tribal Screams, we will accept or deny your characters. You are not allowed to Role Play with your character until it is accepted. If a character is denied, there will be a list of reasons why, and you may fix those reasons.
If you wish to kill off one of your characters, PM Razzy and he'll move your dead character's bio here. Also, if your bio has been denied and you have not fixed the reasons in a large span of time, your bio will be moved to the inactive sub-board. This also applies to those who have created a character and have not Role Played with it for a while.
Eventually, a pregnant female is going to give birth. When that time comes, enter here and post using the form, and an admin will create the pups/kits for you.
Most people already know how to adopt a character, so I'm not going into extreme detail. Just look at a character whos bio has been moved here and reply to it stating that you wish to adopt that character. If you want to put your character up for adoption, PM Razzy and he'll move the bio for you.
General freeplay can get a bit boring. Who doesn't like to spice a Role Play up a bit? Well, this is the place to do that. Here, you may post a message stating you'd like to make a small character plot with someone. Someone else may reply who wants to make a character plot along with you, and so on and so fourth.
Logs are extremely useful. They are a basis of one person's characters. It's easier for someone to refer to your character log as opposed to looking through a bunch of bio's. They aren't required, though.
A huge, twisted pine tree sits in the center of this dusty area. Even by prehistoric standards, the tree is ancient, and is nothing like the tall, slender pines of today. This tree is thick, and has many large, wisted branches. Each branch is tipped with prickly pine needles and pine cones. The thick branches, though, serve as an ideal area for the Longtooths to climb and rest. Many merchants sit in the clearing, attempting to sell wears. Don't be fooled, though, for some products aren't exactly what they're cracked up to be.
This forest surrounds the Longtooths' camp. The forest is humid and dry, and wildfires aren't uncommon. The ground is black and charred from past fires, but new grass relentlessly presses on. Simply swiping away a patch of the black, smoky earth will reveal hidden, green grass. Deer thrive here in large numbers, chewing on the new, lush grasses.
The ground of this forest of pines is mostly sand. The sand is soft and cool on your paws in shaded areas, but if the sand is exposed to the blistering heat, it will feel like you're stepping on fire. It is in your best interest to make any trip through this forest quickly as to avoid hurting your paws.
The sand from the Sand-Covered Pines leads to this crystal clear, freezing stream of water. White sand litters its banks, and due to the cool temperature of the water, the sand is usually cold as well. It's a wonderful feeling to step into the cool water on a blistering day. Small fish swim in the river, but it's doubtful that they'll make for a substantial meal.
This section of the forest bears trees that have long, thick, twisted branches. When you leap into these branches, they'll easily hold your weight, and you can wait for prey in an undetectable hiding place. Hunters will take their place in the branches above and wait for a deer to step beneath them. They will then leap down upon the unaware beast, snapping their jaws around its throat and killing it.
Here you will find the last remains of the Longtooths' scent borders that mark their kingdom. Markers are usually on duty patrolling the area and refreshing the Kingdom's boundaries. This is not the place for a stray wolf to wander into.
The rapids roar and rip at the rock faces that line the tumbling riverbed. Foaming waters slip off of miniature waterfalls made by the constant erosion. Sure, the bottom of the rapids are lined with smooth rocks.. But if you slip in, the rapids will have their way with you, and slamming against rocks isn't quite fun.
Not far off from the rapids, small pools of water have formed from the runoffs of the rapids crashing waters. These pools are shallow, and are warm from being heated by the sun. New water is continuously being shifted in and out of the pools from the rushing water. Pups enjoy playing in the pools, and this area is the main place of socialization for the wolves.
This huge area of greenery surrounds the rapids. This forest supports many prey species, and it seems as if there's always movement. Hunting is good here, and prey is fat and juicy. But wolves aren't the only beasts that roam this land. Out of courtesy, the wolves share the land with large, monstrous bears. These bears, however, become desperate in the colder months, for they need to gain fat to hibernate. During these months, a bear will not hesitate to overthrow a hunting party for their kill, so be alert and eat quickly.
The beautiful emerald leaves of the Lush Forest end abruptly. As you step toward the end of this forest, the ground become hard and somewhat rocky. The trees become shorter and shorter, and, soon grass becomes nonexistant. Your paws have led you to the Red-Clay Canyon, which, as its name states, it a canyon consisting of red clay. The clay is hard and dusy, and, when you step close enough to the canyon, can crumble. So watch your steps.. You wouldn't want to fall down into an icy river full of sharp rocks, now would you?
As you step down from the canyon, you'll find yourself on a sloping bed of loose rocks. These rocks are scorching hot from being heated by the baking sun, and to step on one is to have a burned paw. Yes, the black faces of these rocks become so hot, they can burn the skin. So be wary. Oh, and if this weren't enough, there are many loose rocks among the stable ones and, frankly, a fall down sharp, blistering rocks wouldn't be the best of things to endure.
Ah.. Cool water really does feel nice on your paws after hiking through a bed of baking rocks. This river is a runoff from the canyon, which means the water is always at a cool or cold temperature. Its blue glow is somewhat eerie among the blank background of a red dusty area. At night, wolves can't help but feel serene under the hundreds of shining stars and the soothing sound of the canyon's rushing river.
Markers make daily trips out toward the brown grasses of their boundaries. They mark on the shrubs and thin trees that dot around the area. Though the markers of the pack territories aren't as strict at patrolling the lands, they do mark every day, and such strong scents can be very intimidating to those who scent them.
This area is a newly carved territory. It was recently discovered by a hunting pack of Dire Wolves, who instantly took the time to mark the boundaries. Once the Longtooths found out about the territory, though, they instantly sent a group out to attack the wolves that guarded the land.

This area has been disputed for many years. Many bloody battles have taken place here, and to step foot on this land is to endure a good gash or two. The two races constantly fight, roaring and snarling, ripping and snapping. Only the brave should enter this land. Thousands of Elk migrate through this area every year, and each race wants to own the whole territory. Who wouldn't want to own an area where there's as much tender elk calf meat as you want?

A storm took its deadly temper out upon this patch of woodland. Not only did lighting hit, it hit many, many times. This set the woods ablaze, but also downed many trees. The fire didn't last long, though, for the storm's heavy rain did it's part at putting the blaze to rest. This land is nowhere near as scarred at the territory that the Longtooths own, but the downed trees are black and sooty. Many lone wolves or cats will call this area home, for it supplies sufficient prey and shelter.
The forest becomes thinner and thinner until it leads to.. Well, a desert. This desert is like any other: sandy, hot, and cactus-ridden. A wolf or cat can survive on cactus milk for a while, but will surely die if proper food isn't obtained. Many adventurous beings have entered the desert and never returned. There is said to be an oasis hidden in the desert though, but most have thought it to be a myth.
